You’re Worth IT

Therapy is an Investment with major Returns

You’re great at helping others. It’s one of your superpowers. IT’S TIME FOR YOU NOW! The time, energy and finances you invest in therapy will allow you to heal, grow and build the life you deserve, full of love, purpose and connection.

Our work will begin with setting goals, and those goals will guide our work together and help us monitor your progress.

Therapy is a bit like excavation. As we dig deeper, new issues, realizations and challenges may arise. We will stay focused on your goals but will remain open and flexible as you change and grow.

You are the expert on YOU. I am always open to feedback and will continually check in with you to make sure the direction of our therapy is meeting your needs.

What is included in your investment?

  • High quality, evidence-based care, using my extensive training and knowledge accrued through education, experience and continued training.

  • An initial review of your intake paperwork, an individualized treatment plan designed for and with you, along with ongoing assessment of needs and functioning.

  • Progress toward personalized goals

  • Individualized interventions that take into account your needs, abilities, and environment.

  • Customary care coordination with any other professionals involved in your care. If you are under the care of a physician, psychiatrist, or any other provider, I will reach out to those professionals with your permission so that you can get the best, holistic care possible.

  • Concierge services such as the ability to call or text between therapy appointments. If you are going through a particularly difficult moment or situation, you can always pick up the phone and call or text at that moment. I am available and open to you throughout the healing process. On occasion, we can meet in your home for our therapy sessions.

 Insurance

do not participate with any insurance panels.

With insurance companies dictating clinical decisions such as length of treatment, frequency/length of sessions, and mandated mental health diagnosis for reimbursement, I have decided to not participate with any insurance companies and instead focus on providing the best care to all of my clients without being controlled by insurance companies.

Bypassing insurance allows the utmost flexibility and privacy for my clients.

Whereas insurance will only cover face-to-face sessions, I am now able to provide online therapy for those who travel for work as well as phone sessions for those needing extra support in between sessions.

Without having to provide a mental health diagnosis, I’m also able to keep your records completely secure and confidential. There will be no diagnosis on your permanent health record, and no one will ever know you’re in therapy unless you tell them.

therapy is an investment in yourself and your wellbeing.

Compare the financial cost of short-term therapy to the possible long-term emotional costs of NOT seeking help: The benefits far outweigh the risks.

Aren't you worth it?

 So What are My Options?

If the cost of counseling seems to be out of reach, consider the following:

  • If you are still wanting to use your insurance, I can provide you a super bill (a fancy receipt) showing that you attended and paid for services, which will include a diagnosis your insurance company will have access too. Depending on your out of network benefits, your insurance company may reimburse a percentage of your costs. Services like online therapy and couples counseling is often not covered by insurance. Always check with your insurance carrier first.

  • Use pre-tax dollars. Did you know that you can use your Health Savings or Flexible Spending Account to pay for therapy using pre-tax dollars? Please note that HSA accounts make it harder to get couples therapy covered, so check on that before you get started.

  • Check if you or your spouse’s employer has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP is an employee benefit that allows anywhere from 1-8 sessions (including couples counseling) and the employer foots the bill for the sessions. If you and your partner choose to continue therapy after your approved sessions, only then will you be responsible for payment.

  • Speak with your tax preparer to see if you could deduct therapy expenses from your taxes as an out-of-pocket health expense.

  • Understand that therapy is an investment in yourself and your wellbeing. You are worthy of love, connection and a fulfilling life. You are worth the investment!
